HiHQ connects homeowners ("Users") with verified home service contractors ("Contractors") in Gauteng, South Africa.

User Responsibilities

For Homeowners

• Provide accurate and complete information when requesting services
• Communicate respectfully with contractors
• Pay contractors directly for services rendered
• Provide honest reviews based on actual experience
• Ensure property access for service delivery

For Contractors

• Maintain valid licenses and insurance as required
• Provide accurate information about services and qualifications
• Respond to service requests in a timely manner
• Deliver professional, quality workmanship
• Honor quotes and agreements with homeowners

Service Description

HiHQ provides a platform for connecting homeowners with verified contractors. Our service includes:

• Contractor verification and background checks
• Service request matching and communication tools
• Review and rating system
• Service directory and search functionality

HiHQ does not directly perform any home services and is not responsible for the work performed by independent contractors.

Payments & Fees

For Homeowners: HiHQ is free to use. You pay contractors directly for services rendered based on their quoted prices.

For Contractors: HiHQ may charge service fees or commissions for leads and platform usage. These fees will be clearly communicated before any charges are applied.

Prohibited Activities

Users may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to bypass our verification processes
• Solicit business outside our platform without proper authorization

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of HiHQ and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works, or publicly display any content from our Service without our express written permission.

Disclaimers

Contractor Services: HiHQ does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of contractor services. We are not responsible for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from contractor work.

Platform Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.

Third-Party Content: Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HiHQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes relating to these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Gauteng, South Africa.
